Because of raw cashew shortage, Vietnamese cashew sector is fully enjoying their holiday vacation. Workers attendance may improve after the month-end or by the first week of February. In India, the eastern and north eastern cashew factories are facing raw cashew shortage but the problem is not yet severe. In the western parts, some import re-sellers and medium-scale processors have maintained adequate stocks to meet the demands of the small-scale sector but buyers are not showing any interest in the West African old crop, due to inferior quality and low out-turn.
